We recommend purchasing shipping insurance in case the package is damaged or lost in transit. We take extra care when shipping our springs and the insurance provides coverage for any circumstances that arise outside of our control.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Final adjustment is based on ride height, not just preload.

Initial Setup & Measurements

1. Park the machine on level ground and set it in Park.

2. Measure and record:

   • Front Ride Height: At the forward lower A-arm mount.

   • Rear Ride Height: Just below the rear tow hook.

3. Clean and lubricate all shock threads using a wire brush and a WD-40 type lubricant.

Front Spring Installation

1. Lift and secure the front of the machine.

2. Remove front shocks and place them in a vise.

3. Loosen the large top spanner nut all the way down to the reservoir (use holes/grooves for leverage).

4. Remove the lower coupler and slide off the springs.

5. Install the new tender springs.

6. Thread the spanner nut down until it touches the top of the tender spring, then add 1 additional inch of preload.

7. Reinstall the shocks (do not fine-tune yet).

8. Lower the machine and move it 3–5 feet forward and backward to settle the suspension.

9. Measure ride height and adjust as needed:

   • Nut Down = Raises machine

   • Nut Up = Lowers machine

Rear Spring Installation

For XP1000, Turbo, and PRO XP

• Pro models with 3 rear springs: Remove the upper collapsed spring.

• Shocks do NOT need to be removed.

1. Loosen the spanner nut.

2. Slide off the lower collar using its slot.

3. Install tender springs.

4. Tighten the spanner nut until it touches the spring, then add 1 inch.

5. Reinstall wheels if removed.

For 900S, 1000S, General, and Expedition

1. Remove the rear shocks.

2. Loosen the spanner nut completely.

3. Slide springs upward, use the slots to remove the lower collar, and remove springs.

4. Install tender springs first, then main springs.

5. Set 1 inch of preload using the spanner nut.

6. Reinstall shocks and torque all bolts.

Final Steps

1. With all shocks installed and bolts torqued, lower the machine from the jack.

2. Move the machine 3–5 feet forward and backward several times to settle the suspension.

3. Fine-tune ride height using the spanner nuts:

   • Front: Every ½" of preload = ~1" of ride height

   • Rear: Every 1" of preload = ~1" of ride height

   • Adjust in small increments (±0.25” is acceptable)

   • Nut Up = Lowers ride height

   • Nut Down = Raises ride height

✅ High Lifter Models: Add +2.5" to ride height specs below (factory-set higher by Polaris).

Crossover Ring Setup (If Equipped)

• After final ride height is set:

  • Install crossover rings 2 inches above the black slider.

  • Optional silencer rings can be placed between the slider and crossover ring to reduce noise.
